The Ethiopian troops stretched themselves towards the neighborhoods and randomly shoot any ordinary person on sight, and most of these people whom they have killed were animal herders. The number of deceased is gradually mounting high after some of the wounded are dying because of the bullets they sustained. “It is their habit to relief their pain with innocent people after we hit them hard” said Islamic Courts Union operation commander Abdirahin Isse Adow. The corpses of these innocent people killed by the Ethiopian troops were accumulated from the area and buried on Saturday morning while the wounded ones were rushed to Baidoa hospital for treatment. These Ethiopian troops were in traveling in convoy and heading to their own mother land Abyssinia after they were attacked by the Islamic Courts Union forces incognito. For the past few days convoys of Ethiopian military were seen going towards the frontier town of Dolo, and it is not quit clear whether this has links with the recent announcement made by the Ethiopian Prime Minister Ato Melez Zinawi the pullout of his soldiers from Somali if the feeble government can defend itself or not. The situation of Bardale district is returning to normal despite the tension in the district was high overnight after the confrontation between the Ethiopian troops and the Islamists in the vicinity.
