Somalia: a prominent business tycoon killed in Galkayo town

Armed men killed a well-known business tycoon man Mahamud Mohamed Sheikh at Galkayo town he headquarters of Mudug region in central Somalia on Wednesday night.
The deceased breathe his last breath after he came out of a mosque in the town after having performed his evening prayers and heading home to join his family.
So far there is nobody who has claimed for been responsible of the killing of the elder and the actual motive behind the killing of the businessman is not apparent.
“I was among the congregation which has performed the prayers with late Mohamud, and I could see the murderous by figure but I could not recognize them because they were masked” says a resident in Galkayo town who does not want his name to be disclosed to the media.
The murderous immediately escaped the scene uncaught.
Late Mohamud was the most famous businessman in Mudug region as whole, and the inhabitants in the area described him as peace campaigner and mediator in the region.
The deceased was funding local vigilantes who were meant to handle the security situation of the entire region.
The dead bodies of 3 people were on Wednesday morning found at the northern direction of Galkayo town, these people killed in different section in town and some independent reports from the ground says that the killing of these people is reprisal of the killing of he businessman overnight in the area.
