Mogadishu Wednesday, October 08 2008 SMC
Somali government soldiers driving in a small luxury car opened ransom fire at none fighting people at KM5 in the Somali capital Mogadishu and killed 1 mother and wounded two others.
The primary motive behind the dreadful carried by the Somali government soldiers is not apparent.
“I was in a certain shop in the area buying some chocolates for my kids at home and I heard the sounds of AK47 assault riffles fired automatic, in the first instance I was terrified, but when the firing stooped I managed to peep out, and really what I saw was quit shocking I saw a dead lady in the next shop who was hit by a bullet on the head, and wounded milk selling mother in pool of blood” said Ali Ahmed a resident in the neighbourhood speaking to Somaliweyn radio through the telephone.
Ali also added that the soldiers were driving in high speed, and went away.
The wounded people were immediately rushed to Medina hospital where majority of Mogadishu bullet partners are taken for treatment.
It is not the first time for soldiers registered in Somali government to open fire at civilians running their own business in the capital Mogadishu, and no government official has yet given out comment about the awful incident.
The Somali government soldiers aimlessly gunned down several residents in KM5 area as the people were doing their routine business along the street side in the area.
Somali has not had functioning central government since late Mohamed Siyad Bare was overthrown power in 1991.
