Top United Nations Officials consisting of the different sectors of the United Nations including UN Ocha headed by Mike Bidden the head of the Humanitarian department in Somalia have on Wednesday safely landed at Baladweyn airstrip, the headquarters of Hiran region in central Somalia, and were escorted from the airstrip by the Islamic Courts Union which controls the region towards the base of the Islamists located in the center of the town.  

Reliable sources from the ground say that the focal objective behind the arrival of the UN officials is to asses the current situation of Baladweyn and to get tips from the life standard in the surrounding villages. This is will be the first UN officials to arrive in the region after the withdrawal of
