The Ethiopian troops in Baladweyn town in central Somalia have dawn this
morning started search operation in some sections of the town.

The Ethiopian troops have erected military bases in some significant segments in the town after coming from their previous base Janta kundiche some 5km from Baladweyn town.
This is the first search operation carried by the Ethiopian soldiers since they have arrived in the some three days ago.

The town inhabitants are showing great concern over this new military exercise since their arrival in the town.

“We are very much worried that the Ethiopian may encounter skirmish from their archenemies and in the this cases as usual when fighting between Ethiopian troops and their enemies take place the victims are the civilians, so we are scared that we may suffer” said Mother Halima Adam a resident in the town.
The Ethiopian troops have several times come across hot combats from their antagonists’ parts in several parts of the region.

So far there are no weapons confiscated by the Ethiopian troops in the course of the operation.
