Severe drought in some parts of Bakool region in southern Somalia

Reports from some parts of Bakool region in southwest of the Somali capital Mogadishu says that number of people and uncountable domestic and wild animals died in the region due to acute drought in some parts of the region.
One the affected areas in the region include Bulo Jadid, and somaliweyn radio made contact with the chief of the area Abdisalan Mohamed YUssuf
The area chief verified for Somaliweyn radio that many livestock died and many families shifted for better place for their life, the chief added that so far one person has died.
The drought in the area coincides with time when the expected spring failed and there is no Aid, which has reached in the area.
The chief urged the international and local Aid organization to help these depressed and destitute people who are very much in need of Humanitarian assistances.
