Somalia: NUSOJ General meeting due to take place in Mogadishu

The general meeting of the Nation Union of the Somali Journalists [NUSOJ] is due to be held in the Somali capital Mogadishu on Monday, in this meeting dignitaries from all around the  regions in Somalia are expected to attend.

NUSOJ has 486 members and the general meeting is held after every 3 years, and this Mogadishu has had the opportunity to host the meeting which will be taking place at SAHAFI International hotel in Mogadishu.

The basic points which will be discussed during the meeting will be basically based on the achievements made by NUSOJ in the past three years that is after the last general meeting, the problems which the Somali journalists are current facing and to elect a new Chairman in the coming three years.  The meeting will be one with special contents and value since it is taking place at the Headquarters of NUSOJ which is Mogadishu.

The implementation of the general meeting of NUSOJ is sponsored by International Federal of Journalists [IFJ], NUSOJ is the only Journalists Union which is officially Internationally recognized for representing the Somali journalists in and out of the country.

The top officials of NUSOJ are expected to demonstrate the participants their achievements which they have made in the past three years, and for sure the activities which NUSOJ is making among the Somali journalists are activities which have pleased the entire Somali journalists wherever they are in the universe.  

The enthusiasm of the general meeting of NUSOJ is felt by all the journalists in Mogadishu.

The General Secretary of NUSOJ Hon: Omar Faruuq Osman has officially stated the the general meeting of NUSOJ will open on Monday, and added that the entire delegates from all the expected areas are present in Mogadishu.
