The authority of the self-styled state of Somaliland has disqualified the Somali speaking Universal TV which its headquarters is in

Yet there is no apparent comment from the authority of Somali regarding about the closure of the TV which was operating in the territory of Somaliland for quite sometime, but the minister for information in Somaliland Mr. Ahmed Haji Dahir has this week ordered that the Universal TV cannot transmit anything that happens within the state of Somaliland to the rest of world.

Reliable source said that this shutdown came after the TV broadcasted news about some journalists who were earlier chased from Hargeysa and the TV itself employed some these journalists.

Some of the other things which have forced the authority of Somaliland to carry such action include an interview which the recently employed journalists had with the chairman of UCID opposition party Mr. Feysal Ali Warabe and Suldan Mohamed Abdikadir of which their words were directly scratching the wounds of the Somaliland authority.      

The two responsible men widely talked about the recent demonstrations which rocked Hargisa town the capital of Somaliland.

Some other reports say that the closure of the TV came after it has ignored early agreement between the TV and the authority of Somaliland which was to monitor their movements and the TV has employed some individuals which Somaliland has chased from its state.

Early the TV used to air the work done by the Somaliland president Dahir Rayale Kahin which was part of the signed accord between the authority of Somaliland and the Universal TV.
