The traditional elders of Hawiya tribes condemn the killing of civilians

Muqdisho, Saturday, July 12 2008 SMC“
The traditional elders of Hawiya tribes the dominant in the Somali capital Mogadishu have strongly condemned the killing of seven civilians at Daynile district in Banadir region.
The chairman of the Hawiya traditional elders Mohamed Hassan Had told the media that what this government’s soldiers did at Daynile district as an absolute genocide.
“I can for sure testify that these people were normal civilian and as well none partisans, and what ever the administration of Daynile district was saying about these butchered is erroneous” said Mr. had
The chairman also underlined that the Somali soldiers alone have not that gut to come carry a step forward without the support of their most close ally the Ethiopian soldiers.
It is also very unfortunate that these soldiers who slit these civilians are the same tribe -line with the butchered ones added Had.
The chirman was asked if at all he knew why these pople were killed he said, it is actually part of the slow genocide by both the Ethiopians and the so called Somali soldiers.
This remarks of coincides with time when Daynile administration said that the killed chaps were among the government opponents, but the residents of Daynile itself said that what ever the administrations is saying about these butchered people is beyond the truth.
