Somalia: Armed gangsters rob and injure civilian at Hawa Abdi location 

Mogadishu Tuesday 29 December 2009 SMC

Unidentified armed gangsters have overnight robbed business centers and inured civilians at Hawa Abdi location in the lower shabelle region in southern Somalia

“The armed men entered a shop which mainly sells Electronic appliances, by that time there were several clients who were by then inside the shop buying Electronic things, such as cell phones and alike, and they have ordered everybody heads on the floor, and it was only the owner of the shop who has be come reluctant to the instruction of the armed men whose faces were disguised, and they shot him but not killed him, he was wounded,

and instantly after they have wounded the owner of the shop they have hastily started collecting almost everything in shop, while the owner was helplessly bleeding and glancing at his wealth acquisitively been collected” said an eyewitness who spoke to Somaliweyn Website in condition of anonymity.

The armed gangsters’ immediately evaded the scene uncaught after robbing the shop.

The location which the even occurred is under the control of Hizbul-Islam an Islamist faction which is against the Somali transitional federal government led by his Excellency Sheikh Shariff Sheikh Ahmed and the presence of the African Union troops in the Somali capital Mogadishu.
