Mogadishu: Basic services made easier after official launch of new offices.

Mogadishu – Mayor of Mogadishu & Governor of Banadir Region H.E. Abdirahman Omar Osman (Eng. Yarisow) has officially opened a new social service offices in Hodan and Howlwadaag districts in the capital city of Mogadishu.

The District-level services will provide licensing, citizenship, security services, local government identification cards, notary publications and other basic services which were previously available only at Mogadishu Municipality Headquater in the capital city.

Mayor & Governor Yarisow said the new facilities and the managements that is being implemented is a start of bringing basic services closer to the community in an effort to have all citizens living in Banadir region have access to this vital services locally.

“We urge those who will be responsible in providing services to be very transparent and serve the people with dignity as we are all committed in ensuring service delivery to all residents of Banadir region,” said the Mayor.

Also in attendance during the opening ceremony include the Deputy Mayor and the two district commisioners representing Hawlwadaag and Hodan.

The residents who attended the event have welcomed the move as they will no longer be required to travel all the way to Mayor’s office but instead get it near their neighborhood.
